Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
I had a great time at the hotel! The rooms, while a little dated, were clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The location was fantastic, close to the city center, and the dining experience, although a bit pricey, offered good value for the buffet. The facilities were great, especially the pool area.
The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. While the room allocated to me was clean and up to standard, I was disappointed to find long strands of hair in the bathroom. The service was exceptional with well-trained and friendly staff, although the room seemed a bit dated. The location was great, central, and close to many local tourist attractions, yet cleanliness due to bats dropping was a concern. The dining experience was okay but lacked variety. Overall, a mix of good and not-so-good experiences.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the positive side, the service staff were friendly and polite. However, the room assigned to us was noisy due to its location near the road, and check-in felt disorganized as it was not ready initially. The website did not accurately represent the room we received, which was disappointing. Despite these issues, the location was convenient for exploring the area, with good access to local restaurants and shops.
My stay at the Novotel was a mixed experience. The hotel offers a convenient location within walking distance to city attractions, but there were some disruptions like noisy kids pool parties. The service was a bit hit-and-miss with helpful housecleaners but also rude staff at breakfast. While the on-site dining had its ups and downs, the rooms were well-serviced daily though the balconies were not well-maintained.
I stayed at this hotel with my family and found it to be conveniently located for exploring Cairns. However, the rooms were a bit tired and the noise from ongoing renovations was disruptive. On the bright side, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms are clean and modern, albeit on the small side. The price we paid was average considering the ongoing renovations. The service was exceptionally helpful and pleasant, managing difficult circumstances with a smile. The location is fantastic, albeit in need of some updates. The dining was tasty, though a bit slow and expensive. Overall, a reasonable choice for a stay in Cairns.
The hotel is well-located, close to the esplanade and convenient for exploring Cairns. The rooms could use an upgrade and had a slight moldy smell, but being on the 2nd floor gives a nice view. The service was exceptional, from the cheerful staff to the helpful tour guide. Dining was delightful despite the charge for parking. Overall, a good value for money stay.
The hotel lacked cleanliness and spaciousness in the rooms, though the staff were accommodating and helpful. The location was convenient but service in some areas was lacking in efficiency. The dining experience was satisfactory with good value provided.
The hotel had neat and clean rooms that overlooked a large wall of the adjacent Cairns Aquarium. The breakfast buffet was very average, and I would have preferred a room closer to amenities.
